You can eTransfer a donation to One88 using admin@one88.org. If you would like a tax receipt for the donation, send a separate email with your address, etc. for receipting purposes.


Pre-Authorized Contributions

This is an automatic withdrawal from your bank account on either the 15th or last day of the month. Please email us admin@one88.org and we will send you a pre-authorization form to get it set up.

Tax receipts will be issued at the end of the calendar year.

Click here to donate via PayPal. After selecting an option to pay via your PayPal account or with a credit card, please add your contact information in order to receive a tax-receipt in the new year.

You DO NOT need a PayPal account to donate via this portal.

Phone or Visit

You can drop by the church office (188 Princess Street, Winnipeg) and use our debit/credit machine to make a donation, or call the church office (204-504-8118). When you call, church staff will take your credit card information, asking for the same information that you would give a retail merchant.

We can only take credit cards over the phone, no debit.

Community Pantry

One88 runs an emergency food pantry for those who are struggling to make ends meet. Donations can be dropped off at our Sunday service or make arrangements with Josie, Drop-In Coordinator, by calling 204-504-8118 or josie@one88.org.

Key non-perishable items we need include: cereal/oatmeal, peanut butter/jam, macaroni and cheese, canned meats, canned vegetables, canned fruits, juices, school-friendly snacks.

FAQ

One88 has a core group of committed members who energize and give towards the work at One88. As well, we are funded by donations from individual donors who believe in the work we are doing.  We also receive some revenue from renting out the building to various groups throughout the week and/or month.

No, One88 does not receive funding from the government.

The Board of Directors at One88 approves an annual budget that designates how the money is used. There are checks & balances in place to ensure that we stay true to the mission and vision of the church community. Financial donations help pay salaries, maintain the facility, and run the various services we offer such as showers, laundry, coffee, lunches, phone/WiFi expenses, Sunday worship, etc.

We are always in need of basic hygiene items such as socks, underwear, soap, shampoo, razors, toothbrush/paste, etc. In winter, mitts, toques, & scarves are appreciated as well. Some people provide food for our Tuesday Bible study or the Friday lunch. Check out the opportunities section for more info.

Yes. One88 Community Church is a Canadian registered charity and can offer tax receipts. You can review your giving history and access downloadable receipts through our accounting service by creating a login here: Planning Center Donor Login Paper receipts are mailed out in Februrary.

Our services are offered to all people regardless of their religious belief or background. No one is required to participate in (or agree with) religious programming before or in order to receive help from us. We believe every person has value & dignity and should be treated that way. The diversity of the community often leads to healthy, vigorous conversations around the topics of God, faith, and living well.
